Wireless assurance record

Credible wireless-security work separates the physical LTE baseline, authorized radio disruption, simulated 5G protocol analysis, and the defensive conclusions each can support.

  1. 01 / Reference condition

Separate deployed LTE from simulated 5G

From January through March 2026, the work deployed an LTE stack and simulated 5G standalone environments, using UDP and TCP traffic to establish normal operating baselines. Keeping those environments distinct is part of the evidence: simulation is not presented as field deployment.
  2. 02 / Controlled disturbance

Stress the radio path inside an authorized lab boundary

Authorized RF-jamming experiments with a USRP B210 examined disruption behavior while a real-time UE-side detector turned observable change into defensive feedback.
  3. 03 / Defensive interpretation

    Translate protocol behavior into controls

Inspection of NGAP, NAS-5GS, GTP-U, and SCTP traffic supported threat modeling of TEID injection, replay, signaling abuse, and metadata exposure, then mapped those risks to transport protection, GTP filtering, stream controls, and cipher enforcement.
